Shooting it Straight – Water Signs| Jan 6-10, 2020

Here’s a heads-up on the challenge or obstacle you’re likely to face in your love relationship this week (problem) and what’s at the root of it (action). The advice is irreverent, a bit cheeky, unfiltered and admittedly brazen. The message is putting either you or your partner on notice. You know who you are! If you’re offended by the truth or strong language–stop here.

You’re either not talking or hoping to take a break. Financial struggles, health challenges, conflict, or a lack of progress with matters that have been hanging in limbo could be the reason for feeling unsettled. Either of you may be searching for answers regarding the future and imagining the worst because of too much emotion. Perhaps you need to reach out, but find it difficult to ask for help. A reality check is in order–remaining in denial about whether something can be saved or revived isn’t helping. You can wish on a star, but you can’t wish a problem away. One of you needs to either offer an apology or an explanation so things can move forward. You don’t have a lot of options and timing is a factor.

And what is it that either of you may need to know but don’t really want to hear?

Keep hope alive.

Perhaps you know exactly what’s wrong, but you don’t know what to do about it. Either of you might be conflicted about how you truly feel if you’ve been locked in a stalemate or repressing emotions. Something’s not working in this arrangement and either of you may feel that the relationship is lackluster at best and doesn’t provide opportunity for new experiences. Someone feels held back by the constant demand for attention, recognition, or expectations. As a result, frustration is putting you at odds with both self and a partner because one of you refuses to see or consider taking definitive action. To renew the trust and understanding, it may be time to get some expert advice, outside help, counseling, or therapy before this turns into an ugly, legal situation.

And what is it that either of you may need to know but don’t really want to hear?

Don’t make it personal.

Is this a dilemma or an opportunity? Honestly, you don’t know which, but you’re certainly taking it under consideration. Perhaps it’s because there’s more to the story, but you don’t have the information you need concerning an alliance. Either of you may be questioning whether the facts (or a version of them) are accurate. If you’re waiting for an answer, try not to get too impatient. If it’s fear keeping you from acknowledging the problem, you’ll only end up manipulated or intimidated. Something is not going to resolve itself, and one or both of you will have to take clear action to handle it.

And what is it that either of you may need to know but don’t really want to hear?

Two can play that game.
