Shooting it Straight – Air Signs|Jan 6-10, 2020

Here’s a heads-up on the challenge or obstacle you’re likely to face in your love relationship this week (problem) and what’s at the root of it (action). The advice is irreverent, a bit cheeky, unfiltered and admittedly brazen. The message is putting either you or your partner on notice. You know who you are! If you’re offended by the truth or strong language–stop here.

Was the price of success costly to family or those you love? If so, one of you may get a rude awakening when you come riding back to town only to find a few backs have turned. A complex challenge requires you to close ranks, rather than pulling rank if you expect to deal with the difficulty, demands, or estrangement. Something’s gone too far or gotten out of hand and someone needs to rise above the game-playing, rivalry, or passive-aggressive behavior that’s been used to get attention or branded one of you as a troublemaker. Getting closer in order to heal violations of trust will require active cooperation to make things easier for all parties. Any resistance to good advice will only keep you pitted against each other and prolong the exaggeration of feeling that there are no answers or that you’re chasing rainbows.

And what is it that either of you may need to know but don’t really want to hear?

Over the top.

For one of you, there’s the ability for total concentration (especially when it’s all about you). But where are you actually headed and are you moving too quickly? There’s difficulty in keeping things balanced and equal in the relationship and it’s driving up anger because one of you has the upper hand. Things have gotten out of control because someone is struggling with the shadow self and having to reconcile behavior that may be costly, selfish, dishonest, opportunistic, or aggressive. Either of you may be conflicted about resources or emotions, but a domineering attitude could actually indicate doubt regarding your own capability for self-reliance. Expect to make some changes in both your strategy and your schedule when you consider whether this alliance is constructive or destructive. The focus has become too narrow–the point is to communicate and combine your power to manifest your dual desires.

And what is it that either of you may need to know but don’t really want to hear?

Follow the leader.

Yang or yin? Heart or mind? Extrovert or introvert? Put it out there or keep it private? Sex or celibate? Perhaps you’re left with so many questions because this is just a superficial attraction with a sell-by date. If so, you know the sizzle will soon fizzle. Someone has changed the rules in their favor and is not so much as even giving matters a second look. One of you is excited about making a fresh start, but outside pressures may take its toll and bring your enthusiasm to an end as unfulfilled expectations make you feel powerless and/or pessimistic. As a result, you’re re-evaluating a connection where you may have gotten in over your head. Trust what your intuition tells you so that you can move more quickly the next go round.
