Shooting it Straight – Water Signs|Feb 10-14, 2020

Here’s a heads-up on the challenge or obstacle you’re likely to face in your love relationship this week (problem) and what’s at the root of it (action). The advice is irreverent, a bit cheeky, unfiltered and admittedly brazen. The message is putting either you or your partner on notice. You know who you are! If you’re offended by the truth or strong language–stop here.

It may take courage to adapt, accommodate, or compromise concerning a negative situation involving abuse, suffering, or poor judgment. If one of you is continually disappointed, the indication is a repetitive bad habit that’s become more of an excuse to stay captive than anything else. Although there’s been some procrastination, events are pushing you to consider the right time for an honest discussion about moving or moving on from something where reaching a consensus has been difficult in the past. You’ll either advance toward a dream or distance yourself from an unrealistic objective. The key lies in the manner of how truthfully (bluntly) the message is delivered to address matters of excess, obsession, or inappropriate behavior in determining whether the outcome feels like judgment or justice.

And what is it that either of you may need to know but don’t really want to hear?

Walk the talk.

One of you is struggling to hit the right notes where love or partnership is concerned. A fork in the road calls for the review of your relationship in consideration of both choices and outcomes. You now lack direction in a situation that has bearing on the future, but may relate to the past. A troubled connection where a control issue (or outside influence) created jealousy or questions concerning compatibility has triggered a fear of commitment. Consequently, ill considered decisions may have provoked conflict based on the desire for independence at all costs, including the freedom to explore other avenues (partners). But why make this harder than need be? The current strain between you suggests expression rather than suppression can help to clarify, clear the air, and improve the relationship. The truce begins when one of you stops burning out in the battle with self.

And what is it that either of you may need to know but don’t really want to hear?

You may be blind, but don’t be dumb–open your mouth.

Perhaps you’re gaining recognition for your efforts or realizing that working toward a goal has become rather burdensome. The pressure of an endeavor is taking a toll on your relationship in addition to your well-being. A difficult encounter or the resistance to one suggests that pent-up emotions concerning unsatisfied needs or desires is creating tension and anxiety in the partnership (if you can still call it that). Without any quality time together, the intimacy of your connection is beginning to deteriorate. As the price of success rises, it may be time to question whether the material rewards are worth the emotional/physical stress or the loss of your partner’s interest. Although the work objective could be to achieve greater freedom for the team, the results may be anything but when either a health challenge or loneliness becomes the price of unbridled ambition.

And what is it that either of you may need to know but don’t really want to hear?

Love hurts.
