Shooting it Straight – Air Signs|Dec 2-6, 2019

Here’s a heads-up on the challenge or obstacle you’re likely to face in your love relationship this week (problem) and what’s at the root of it (action). The advice is irreverent, a bit cheeky, unfiltered and admittedly brazen. The message is putting either you or your partner on notice. You know who you are! If you’re offended by the truth or strong language–stop here.

One of you could be blowing a matter out of proportion and shutting down in response. There’s always the ever-present burden of uncertainty to bear that consequently keeps you stuck in a stalemate. Even when you get around to discussions, the temporary compromise you reach is just that–temporary. Ultimately, your situation never seems to change. But one of you will need to stop procrastinating and take action soon to face the truth, an ending, or a necessary change. It could mean a decision about moving, work, finding more balance, or what kind of responsibilities you both can willingly meet and whether you’ve bitten off more than you can chew. Either of you could be buckling under the weight of stress and not knowing whether you actually have the muster to cross the finish line. You’ll have to fight the compulsion to put everything else before your relationship and instead make the conscious effort to have more fun–with each other.

And what is it that either of you may need to know but don’t really want to hear?

We interrupt the regularly scheduled programming to bring you this important message…

Is it a foolish decision? Only time will tell, but one of you is having to re-evaluate whether you want to be involved or if your partner is committed. Either of you could be struggling with fear about moving in new and different circles or directions. It could mean walking away from the secure and familiar to face an unknown or dealing with an unexpected circumstance you don’t feel fully prepared for. Perhaps you’re haunted by old anxieties connected to taking a leap of faith and then ending up falling off of a cliff. While anything is possible, nothing is certain. Both of you are reviewing a “wonderful” proposition that may carry a disclaimer in the fine print, or you’re hoping, an exit clause. There’s the awareness that something comes with strings and is anything but free. While you’ll need to open to experimentation, use caution and common sense in addressing the risk factor. This situation needs to evolve organically without being rushed. Your inner knowing should guide the way.

And what is it that either of you may need to know but don’t really want to hear?

Fool me once…

See what you did?! One of you could be ruthless, vindictive, or suspicious. Maybe you’re sick of having to make decisions or there’s a lack of faith in the ability to do so. Perhaps intimacy, loving communication, or emotional maturity are not strong suits leaving one of you feeling deprived of love. Either of you could be facing fears about being rejected because you’re not on the same page or you don’t seem to “get” each other. The response could be to cut yourself off from the world and any vital connections or falling into depression and feeling abandoned and alone. You may have suffered through a series of setbacks that took a toll on your health, finances, or spirit and played on all your insecurities and doubts about whether a relationship will improve. But the king represents mastery of thought and your ability to find solutions rather than focus on problems. As difficult as it may be, re-examine a circumstance–it’s possible to discover that it’s not as bad as it appears on the surface. In fact, you may even re-emerge from a period that felt sorely lacking.

And what is it that either of you may need to know but don’t really want to hear?

Through thick and thin.
