Daily Tarot: Two of Cups

“To love is nothing. To be loved is something. But to love and be loved, that’s everything.” T. Tolis

How apropos that this card would show up on a day that we recognize our intimate partnerships. As expected, events strengthen your affection and devotion to another person, particularly romantic involvement, and you are willing to see the world through the eyes of your beloved. It’s no surprise that Valentine’s Day is one of the most popular days of the year to propose, albeit not the most original. Today’s influences allow for deep connections based on mutual love and respect. But this also holds true for close bonds, platonic love and friendship as well. If you’ve had friction in a relationship, this would be a great day to repair, reconcile and put an end to any hostilities.

But not every couple is floating on clouds of love simply because it’s a holiday. The expectation of the day may actually fracture some liaisons by bringing difficult issues into sharp focus. Someone that once seemed to be the best thing that ever happened to you may suddenly get on your very last nerve!
