Solar Return – June 13, 2025
Assuming that Donald Trump is still sitting in office by his next solar return. the cycle begins on his upcoming birthday in June with Virgo as the rising sign. The sign of Virgo signifies how he goes about achieving his desires and the coping mechanisms he uses in response to the environment during this annual cycle. It can indicate a desire to change the type of work he does and possible discontent with the job in general. Should he fail to make changes that would affect efficiency, his duties can become tedious, repetitive, or involve more paperwork.
He holds a strong need for self-expression and to initiate action without the help of others, but indecisiveness is a problem. Matters that connect to the people he works with, particularly male figures, will predominate the focus, and criticism from others in power could result in financial woes. He will find himself struggling to reconcile the pressure to perform in a particular manner with the freedom to be his own person. Consequently, his health can become an issue due to job-related stress.
Two stars direct Mr. Trump’s natal sun (and therefore his solar return) and offer the lens through which his personality, response to the world, and his style of governance can be summarized. Both of these celestial bodies reflect a headstrong personality; someone who doesn’t seek or take advice given the desire to act as a free agent or to explore places or ideas. This is a person who takes center stage, possibly in a time of fanaticism or as a dictator who believes he knows what’s best for others with little regard for their opinions. Interestingly, the Part of Death is opposite his sun, which at best, means that he’ll have to relinquish some emotional attachments and deal with psychological issues before he can progress.
The central concept that dictates his behavior is non-conformity—living outside of the norms, the establishment, and breaking with mainstream thought. But it’s also about being out of step, and the challenge is for him to balance the desire for independence with matters of personal responsibility. His practices and beliefs may not be readily accepted and will need to be explained or defended. Insights that bring change to his thinking may arrive in the form of rude awakenings, challenges from others, or through a slow transition in a series of tests that cause him to reevaluate his position on a number of issues to make necessary adjustments. This might include awareness of other cultures, foreigners, or those from a different ethnic background.
Indeed, with Jupiter at the Aries Point and linked to the Part of Treachery, matters related to tolerance, truth, justice, belief systems, higher education, and foreigners will insert unexpected characters into his storyline through unusual circumstances. He can be affected by lies and deception or involved in situations of betrayal. As a result, Mr. Trump may find travel or relations with those overseas to be stressful or unsettling, and he may have numerous legal problems or dealings with lawyers where outcomes don’t turn out as expected.
The destiny indicated by his solar return sun requires that he work hard to build a reputable expression of his role in life, and his position as an authority figure and concern for public image are major issues for the year, with a tremendous amount of energy applied toward career and business matters. He’s likely to be working behind the scenes and under the radar on a large-scale project where others are unaware of what he’s doing.
Naturally, as president he holds considerable power, yet with greater responsibility, he must be cognizant of his personal abilities and limitations. But with the sun in nodal degree, Mr. Trump is likely to face difficulties and regrettable situations that are beyond his control. Despite his leadership capacity, he often refuses to become involved in such a way that actually contributes to practical advancement. Although it’s a year of exceptional energy, good planning is necessary to prevent wasting a lot of time aimlessly running from interest to interest without accomplishing anything.
It’s worth noting that the Mars of the U.S. birth chart is also conjunct Mr. Trump’s natal Sun. Mars governs the military, missiles, and noted military and naval leaders. Because of Virgo’s rulership over 6th house matters, it too corresponds to the military. Mars rules war, terrorist attacks, industrial disputes, manufacturing, strikes, conflicts, agitators, and opposition forces. It also reigns over government employees as well as fire, fire services, arson, and incendiarism. And, of course, guns—and wounds. Expect these to be highlighted during Mr. Trump’s tenure as president. His own solar return Mars is entangled with the Part of Catastrophe noting that his ambitions, especially in regard to large social systems and the resources of others, will be an area of chaos and disruption caused by the unexpected.
Mr. Trump is also seeking the kind of recognition, appreciation, and social approval that’s generally difficult to ask for or receive gracefully. As one would expect, there are many new projects in the offing in the year ahead, as well as a great deal of social activity and communication. On the one hand, Mr. Trump possesses a jovial quality, where he delights in the company of others and can be given to exaggeration, enthusiasm, and dramatic expression. But these qualities of conviviality can also display as exaggerated passion, vanity, and a susceptibility to flattery. He can be subject to deception on the part of friends, and whether misled by flattery or misplaced sympathies, there’s a danger of scandal.
For Mr. Trump, the aura of reliability and status is extremely important, and creature comforts and objects represent status that provides him with a sense of security. The degree of his return ascendant ties mental ability to the handling of money, and the link between the two springs from deep-seated insecurities, which can very easily prompt him to be tightfisted and miserly. In the extreme, he sacrifices everything to the accumulation of wealth, and his enjoyment is limited to the size of the figure on his bank balance. With the pronounced emphasis on personal values and finances, he’ll undoubtedly encounter a variety of opportunities for personal growth this year, but also financial problems. His earning capacity may be stressed with personal self-esteem becoming a concern. Unfortunately, the angular south node speaks to low self-confidence, relationship changes, or uncomfortable concessions to make for others, especially when he realizes he’s not solely a product of his own making.
In fact, the return’s earth Moon underscores practical and material concerns, but submerged below the horizon, it might also suggest subconscious problems. While its degree is favorable for politicians, it shows that Mr. Trump will be involved in conflicts that may reflect separation, divorce, or the end of friendships. There can be significant developments that coincide with major events or a turning point in his life. This might manifest as the sudden death or separation of a family member or close friend. It may involve conflicts regarding taxes, debts, or shared resources that result in litigation. He can also be arrogant and confrontational in situations that are both antithetical to his needs and ill-suited to his personality. In response, he’ll feel compelled to break with the past, motivated by the need to take a stand and confront an issue.
However, in doing so, he should not risk placing himself in situations that could expose him to potential violence, danger, or arrest. His associates may be erratic and disreputable, with the intent of overthrowing existing conditions or corporations. His own missteps could compromise ethics, and situations can make him feel forced to maintain certain relationships that aren’t in his best interests in the long run, although he’ll be expected to live up to the agreements he’s made. His relationships, both personal and professional, will be characterized by poor communication, misunderstandings, and misrepresentation. In fact, alliances will tend to say one thing and do another, and it’s highly likely that he’ll be lied to or deceived by his closest associates.
While Mr. Trump’s inclination can be to withdraw from conflict, particularly those with family members, suppressed anger can eventually lend the sense that his personal power is eroded, which then provokes emotional outbursts that are inappropriate to the moment. Close connections tend to play on his fears of personal inadequacy by making increasingly excessive demands, and specific people and situations are most likely to trigger stress and extreme anxiety caused by the inability to defend himself in the moment. As basic personality differences become stronger, the difficulty of maintaining particular relationships will require great effort on his part and may, in some cases, end under the pressure.
The nodal influence stimulates the motivation to be seen as someone working for alternative or unacknowledged groups and to give a voice to the unexpressed opinions. The desire may be to link his life with the empowerment of those who have no voice in society or those who choose to live on the edge of it. But to whom do the voices belong? Those who oppose him will also demand the right to be heard, and through their articulation, some injustices or swindles will come to light. As a result of events that occur, society will begin the effort to act with dignity in the endeavor to treat all people with dignity.
With the south node in such a prominent position, Mr. Trump may not “make America great again,” but he’ll certainly revisit the past. His term in the White House could feel like a déjà vu experience, and welcomed or not, he’ll be flooded with issues from old family history, the reappearance of acquaintances, and matters of the past. Even an old illness could resurface—difficulties in health could arise from overexertion, infection, or some form of inflammation. His circumstances could entail the need to recover from an illness, an accident, surgery, or may mark the painful beginning of a healing process.
Additionally, an excess of sexual drive or energy can be consuming unless subjugated toward creative or spiritual pursuits. At the most personal level, his intimate relationship may be intertwined with struggles over power, money, or sex, where control issues dominate through the use of fear, intimidation, jealousy, or manipulation.

Right away, it’s evident that July will be a challenging month, with August focused on legal concerns and September spent trying to gain the advantage or hold on to any he has. In November, Mr. Trump may be testing the waters in trying to gain support given earlier frustrations, but he’ll have to make compromises if he expects to accomplish his agenda. Early in the first quarter of 2026, significant events take place with some circumstances entirely beyond his control. Surprise situations, particularly in March, will herald profound changes that take place during April.
Generally, the energy is spent toward work and productivity, and Mr. Trump must pay great attention to detail as well as the facts before making decisions. With matters coming down to the wire, timing will be critical as he attempts to juggle obligations and resources. He’ll need to be flexible when considering changes, but may, at times, become overwhelmed by the complexities of issues and the red tape he encounters when trying to push for movement. The emphasis is on promises kept—those made to him, those he’s made to others, and those he made as a campaign promise. He’s especially vulnerable to manipulation by others, and without the ability to see the big picture, successfully negotiate, or skillfully navigate the terrain, it’s possible for Mr. Trump’s ego to prompt overreach, resulting in a painful fall toward reality.
During this solar year, Mr. Trump has lessons in releasing ego-centered actions to devote his life to others. Through his partnerships, he’ll know the poverty of aggression and will likely suffer from the effects of his actions and intentions. Through militancy, he will come to understand that what is gained by force may become a curse instead of a blessing.
