Daily Love & Life Advice – Your Guide to Navigating Relationships
E.E. Cummings wrote, “His lips drink water but his heart drinks wine.” Something requires a moderate approach to achieve the right blend, merger or fruitful combination due to the importance of finding the middle ground between you and another. Perhaps you’re testing the waters and waiting for the right moment to clear the air and speak a truth. This might involve a long-term relationship, a compromise to reconcile, or working through fundamental differences–age, background, culture, beliefs, etc. Indeed, a bit of self-restraint is called for as the inclination toward impulse may lead you down roads you later regret.
However, procrastination is also a problem if waiting to heal or for issues to work themselves out. The temptation may be to stay chained to a situation thinking it will improve with time. If so, a bad relationship characterized by infidelity, obsession or addiction suggests you’re making an excuse or caught up in a habitual cycle where one of you is out of control.
