There’s anger surrounding control issues about extravagance or excess, especially when either of you feels that safety or security is threatened. Perhaps one of you needs to get on the wagon, or is running through money like water, or indifferently closing off to emotions. If that’s the case, you’ll have to grow up and deal. One thing’s for sure–you’ll need to have a talk about where things stand and who’s in charge. That discussion should focus on some bad habits in a bad relationship. The situation requires forgiveness and accommodation to reconcile what have been some clear differences in thinking. This can’t happen when the self-righteous pettiness, criticism, and demanding bullying comes into play. Dictators very often end up living in exile, especially when they realize they’re not holding all the power.

There could have been a past delay created because of pride. That might be okay if the partner has a lot of patience to wait for the green light. On the other hand, perhaps pride recently brought you to your knees or you’ve chosen to put pride aside in favor of bended knee. Whatever the case, someone’s taking stock of what they’ve invested (or need to) and the risk factor in a situation or a relationship. Perhaps this centers on a piece of property, getting married, moving in together, or reuniting. There’s anxiety about whether to move ahead, if an opportunity has been missed, or if either of you are simply giving up too soon. Hopefully, that pesky issue of pride won’t reemerge to stir up enough resistance or confusion to blow matters out of proportion. Active participation will be required for a positive outcome worthy of celebration. But don’t start clinking champagne glasses just yet. Any pause should be with the intent to gather enough information to undo some recent damage and gain peace of mind for a win-win situation knowing that there’s still more to this story.

In fact, there’s been a lack of both progress and cooperation concerning a cast of characters who are needy, insecure, and grossly concerned with the physical or material. Selfish, ego-oriented desires to keep everything for oneself sets up power struggles and accusations of falsehood emotionally or financially. Clearly there’s room for improvement and perhaps a need for outside help.
