Shooting it Straight – Air Signs|Sept 30-Oct 4

Here’s a heads-up on the challenge or obstacle you’re likely to face in your love relationship this week (problem) and what’s at the root of it (action). The advice is irreverent, a bit cheeky, unfiltered and admittedly brazen. The message is putting either you or your partner on notice. You know who you are! If you’re offended by the truth or strong language–stop here.

Is it really that difficult to do what’s expected? There’s instability when ego pushes you both to compete for the controls. In fact, it gets harder to deal with the repercussions as the onslaught of challenges to this relationship begin to pile up. You won’t ever get to the root of the real problem if you’re lacking faith in each other and too busy focusing on made up excuses, accusations, or false arguments about something else that’s probably irrelevant to begin with. It’s reckless for either one of you to react before you know the facts, and then justify it as a right because you were riled. Could it be that one of you should be questioning your own values or belief system? If you’re sincerely looking for relief, that’ll come when one of you decides to step up to the plate to commit more and stop consistently coming up short.

And what is it that either of you may need to know but don’t really want to hear?

Dogma puts you in the doghouse.

Someone’s being selfish, mean-spirited, or closing off to their emotions. Additionally, the card infers the feeling that one of you is also ungrateful. Perhaps disappointing news, misfortune, or the revelation of a secret is creating instability in the relationship, especially if incessant demands are beginning to make one of you feel like hunted prey. Instead of the security you so desire, either of you may be feeling depressed, unsettled, or suspicious of each others motives related to excessive worries about money or property. Ongoing stress provoked by your darkest fears and the struggle to maintain the status quo, also puts your mental/physical health at risk. However, you’ll need to consider how the fear of failure, self-pity, emotional overwhelm, and habit patterns from way back when are actually casting a cloud over your judgment and causing you to miss out on viable opportunities while you try to hang on to something that’s costing you dearly. The possibility of deception through a partner is only half of the equation. The other half is addressing issues of denial about the areas of life where you’ve been cheating yourself. If you let it, your intuition will provide the breakthrough that sheds light on where and how you need to let go of the past and self-inflicted burdens.

And what is it that either of you may need to know but don’t really want to hear?

Just because people are messy doesn’t mean you have to let them treat you like dirt.

Cue to violin as the dramatic intro begins. Is this circumstance just another sad song or is it music to your ears? Perhaps there’s been some frustration or friction when one of you overreaches your authority or tries too hard to push an agenda. The ensuing fiery exchange ignites a situation that threatens to burn the house down. Either of you could end up singed, burned, or burned out, and the relationship–toast. Out of kilter expectations could be motivated by narcissism that drives a desire to take charge of decisions to manage money, time, business, family, children, the kitchen sink, or whatever else you feel should fall under your jurisdiction. But after the smoke clears, someone’s gonna want answers. And they better sound good.

And what is it that either of you may need to know but don’t really want to hear?

Face the music.
