Shooting it Straight – Air Signs/Sept 9-13

Here’s a heads-up on the challenge or obstacle you’re likely to face in your love relationship this week (problem) and what’s at the root of it (action). The advice is irreverent, a bit cheeky, unfiltered and admittedly brazen. The message is putting either you or your partner on notice. You know who you are! If you’re offended by the truth or strong language–stop here.

Perhaps you’re going back and forth about whether you’re getting enough of what you need. Either of you may feel the emotional ups and downs of being vulnerable, open, or exposed in a situation that feels overwhelmingly complex. Trying to juggle responsibilities on top of dealing with an over-abundance of emotion is creating doubt about whether your intuition is even on point. One of you keeps putting misplaced faith in a situation that doesn’t seem to have answers. There’s a need to heal, offer, or accept help but that would mean seeing the positive in a situation you don’t fully understand. The result of unrealistic thinking is keeping either of you on your toes about the future and what it holds. It’s better to adapt to the changes now taking place in a circumstance, environment, or relationship rather than making excuses so you don’t have to deal with people or matters you don’t want to face.

And what is it that either of you may need to know but don’t really want to hear?

In the loop.

Someone is either hell-bent on keeping up appearances in a relationship that lacks depth or trying to dominate with ruthless disrespect. You’re not marching to the same drumbeat and could be going over the same old ground repeatedly with or as a troublemaker. A situation is getting off to a shaky start and creating conflict about the future, especially if money is also involved. An inability to accept no or getting caught up in excess of any kind–monetary, physical, or professional–is threatening to disrupt the stability of the relationship. Perhaps one of you has failed to deliver on a promise or is immature and struggling with emotional insecurities that draw you into arguments. Acting on the fly results in the inability to determine which battles are worthy of combat, rather than exchanges of any real value. In fact, without heeding good advice, words may cost you. The resulting fallout–plans that fall through, withdrawn offers, or the misuse of resources.

And what is it that either of you may need to know but don’t really want to hear?

Well, isn’t that rich?

Before healing can happen, important conversations you’ve been putting off need to take place concerning negative habits. There’s been some dishonesty through exaggeration of the truth or a lack of discretion. Instead of trivialities and superficial chit-chat, it’s time for brutally honest exchanges that center on compatibility and any excessive, over-the-top behaviors that put either of you at risk. Old destructive patterns have reemerged and either of you may be projecting your ideas about whether the other is the “answer” or the “problem.” You’ll both have to decide whether the excuses you’ve been making to maintain a bad situation means that this relationship is really just a bad habit or if you simply need to practice greater restraint to bring something back into balance.

And what is it that either of you may need to know but don’t really want to hear?

Pouring it on thick.
