Perhaps you’re having a rushed or heated discussion with a partner about where you stand. This could be as a result of either of you being forced to face the music for past decisions. You could be angry about concerns that impact your security as well as unexpected demands or responsibilities that hold sway over the stability of your circumstance. Problems occur when one of you robs the authority of the other by making decisions that rightfully belong to the partner. Now you’re having to rush in a situation that threatens to leave you behind.

Self-pity or escapist tendencies won’t revive a situation. Unwelcome change requires action and the need to face a disappointing truth.
