Shooting it Straight – Earth Signs/Aug 12-16

Here’s a heads-up on the challenge or obstacle you’re likely to face in your love relationship this week (problem) and what’s at the root of it (action). The advice is irreverent, a bit cheeky, unfiltered and admittedly brazen. The message is putting either you or your partner on notice. You know who you are! If you’re offended by the truth or strong language–stop here.

You’re so determined to reach the goal line that you’ve begun to build a wall to either protect your loved one or protect yourself from being overpowered by the connection. In fact, either of you have been willing to play a few games or exhibit some passive-aggressive behavior in order to achieve a desire. It’s obvious you’ve been through the mill in hopes of acquiring the castle, yet ended up cast outside of the kingdom due to various challenges where old habits may have contributed. As a result, you’re constantly on guard against attack while not realizing you’re a danger to yourself. There’s a struggle with being overly-emotional or excessively defensive because of outside forces that put your relationship at risk. But a personal victory is just within your grasp if you rethink a situation in more practical terms. You’ll need the backing of someone close to create the improvement; wearing armor simply suggests that you think love is a battlefield. Don’t go down fighting.

And what is it that either of you may need to know but don’t really want to hear?

Them’s fightin’ words.

Talk about beating a dead horse–someone doesn’t want to take no for an answer and could be taking no prisoners in the negotiations. That’s okay, you pride yourself on your communication skills and will quickly turn and exit if the price is not right. ‘Cause at the root, it’s ALWAYS about the money, value or worth, right Virgo? And this may be more than you’re willing to pay, especially when someone is bossy, immature, or causing trouble. Wait, that’s not you, is it? Either way, you’re not necessarily on the same page with your love and a difference of opinion could turn into all-out war at a hefty price. Be careful that you’re not just looking for a fight or allowing yourself to be goaded into one. There’s an opportunity to solve a problem strategically if you examine an idea that pushes the limits.

And what is it that either of you may need to know but don’t really want to hear?

A picture’s worth a thousand words.

One of you is either seeking the truth or forced to give up the truth. There’s dissatisfaction with the issue of lack–lack of advancement, knowledge, ambition, performance, or recognition. Cooperation (or the lack thereof) is key in creating a situation where group effort is required to solve a problem or an injustice. This is likely to turn confrontational if either of you is not a team player by nature. One of you may be bent on forcefully pushing an agenda and unwilling to accept new ideas. Bullying tactics and disregard for the feelings of the partner could eventually result in an unexpected loss of communication, an offer of help, and/or money. Someone’s tendency to be missing in action, misrepresenting, or misinterpreting because of twisted logic or the misuse of power will result in stressful situations that are problematic. Seeing matters clearly for what they are will help you seek a better way because the truth will always set you free.

And what is it that either of you may need to know but don’t really want to hear?

If it’s not worth it, then walk.
