Shooting it Straight – Water Signs/Aug 5-9

Here’s a heads-up on the challenge or obstacle you’re likely to face in your love relationship this week (problem) and what’s at the root of it (action). The advice is irreverent, a bit cheeky, unfiltered and admittedly brazen. The message is putting either you or your partner on notice. You know who you are! If you’re offended by the truth or strong language–stop here.

You can stand on that soapbox if you like, but I’m not listening. Well, Cancer since the Chariot represents you, I’ll assume it’s you who wants to be acknowledged. That may not be happening if either of you are perceived as arrogant, demanding, self-righteous, or intolerant. Your patience is likely to be tested involving matters that center on travel, communication, delays, or revisions to your schedule that prove to be costly. If you’re seeking a conversion, your message could be falling on deaf ears because someone is opposed to your plans or ideas that are directly in conflict with their own. Don’t be surprised if you find yourself getting angry when attempts at negotiating prove counterproductive, especially if you placed an undue amount of faith in someone. The passion for a relationship is burning out due a constant concern for number one. Right about now, that’s starting to feel like the loneliest number.

And what is it that either of you may need to know but don’t really want to hear?

You are not being heard.

I’d like to just wash my hands of this whole matter. There’s a history here of not wanting to fully commit regardless of the time invested. What should be a blissfully happy situation is anything but, especially if one of you makes a gaffe that undermines the joyful atmosphere. In spite of efforts to please the partner, the other can’t seem to stop finding fault because of obsessive self-interest. However, events provide a necessary reality check that allows for a redo, or rather, undoing of a damaging situation if you’re willing to make changes toward a positive outcome where you both get to win. That could mean finding out where you currently stand by doing a review of past situations that you now realize provided a false sense of security. You get to decide whether the party’s over or just getting started.

And what is it that either of you may need to know but don’t really want to hear?

Picture this…

No one’s more critical of you than you. You’re working very hard to be sensitive, loving, and caring–after all, that’s your nature. But lately, you’ve found yourself in a rut with a recurring theme you don’t care to repeat, and yet can’t seem to stop. There’s a focus on nitpicking and holding on to petty grievances that hold sway over your moods and sensibility. A lack of sympathy may indicate you feel overwhelmed by emotions that once came easily, but now feel uncomfortable and unsettling because of needless sacrifice in the past. As a result, relationships, or your influence within them, feels disruptive, especially when you’re inclined to play less becoming roles like martyr, victim, or enabler. You may try to escape to your own fantasy world or live in one, but you probably don’t realize what strong bearing you have on those around you that count on your emotional presence to maintain stability. Don’t be afraid to feel what you feel. When you trust your intuition, you won’t get it twisted.

And what is it that either of you may need to know but don’t really want to hear?

Either you’re the sh#t or you feel like sh#t. Pick one.
