How does it feel? One of you is currently learning some lessons the hard way. Events might include unwelcome endings or major changes that stem from disappointment over a situation from the past. A turning point has occurred because of procrastination or the outright refusal to deal with a situation. While you’d like to think you were blameless, if the intent is to put an issue to rest, you’ll need to acknowledge your own mistakes that contributed to circumstances. Was it an offer to die for or dead on arrival? Delay is the source of seemingly “bad luck” provoked by the hesitancy to act on a feeling, offer, or invitation. Perhaps there was a bit of back-peddling after impetuously jumping into something without giving serious thought to the outcome. In spite of questions concerning motive, new facts emerge that will ultimately force one of you to make a decision. Don’t allow emotions about the past to taint your judgment concerning the future. In spite of regrets or remorse over what has broken or failed, you’ll have to let go and move on. You can either start over as a form of rebirth or because you failed to get the message. Your call.

Dead or alive? Hopefully, those words are not accompanied by your face on a wanted poster. It’s more of a euphemistic question about whether your relationship can survive in the current state. One of you would rather be dead than stay in a stagnant relationship that doesn’t offer any growth or security. The person that once appeared to be the love of your life now seems to be sucking the very life right out of you. At least, that’s the perception that keeps you at opposite poles and conflicted with both self and each other. Someone feels that trust was violated and that a situation hasn’t been altogether fair. Maybe you were incompatible to begin with or you’re now dealing with intense life situations that have created profound changes in your relationship. Will you renew your contract? The survival of this alliance depends on whether you talk or walk. Is it time for a deep discussion?

Is a situation trying your patience? Third party interference getting in the way? “I’ve worked so hard and this is what I get?” One of you is heart-broken and/or under a lot of stress. You’re discouraged about what’s come out of this relationship and a situation that appears to be going nowhere. You may feel as if you’re not getting a fair return on what you’ve invested, particularly if there are three of you in this relationship. The emphasis is on taking a closer look at where your energy is being invested (drained) to figure out if you should hang in there or if it’s time to call it quits. A faulty estimation by either of you as to whom and what you’re dealing with has led to frustrating delays in progress and a breakdown in communication. Perhaps one of you is a bit overly-emotional about the current circumstance or hasn’t fully healed from some past grief or harsh words. But the seeds have been planted–one of you has decided to turn your back on the haters and focus on personal growth. That’s always a wise investment.
