Shooting it Straight – Air Signs/May 27-31

Here’s a heads-up on the challenge or obstacle you’re likely to face in your love relationship this week (problem) and what’s at the root of it (action). The advice is irreverent, a bit cheeky, unfiltered and admittedly brazen. The message is putting either you or your partner on notice. You know who you are! If you’re offended by the truth or strong language–stop here.

Was it self-sabotage or self-pity? A change of fortune has left one of you heartbroken. This might have been caused by a love triangle or third party interference. As a consequence, events have created a break down in communication. Now one of you has closed off to suggestions, advice or constructive criticism. Either of you may have difficulty coping with the outcome of a situation, especially if your expectations were out of whack to begin with or you didn’t peg your partner accurately. Perhaps a last minute cancellation sparked emotional wounds or hurtful words. You could chalk it up to bad luck, but the high drama now playing out is actually because one of you played the hand that changed the relationship and subsequently, its course of direction. But don’t write things off just yet. If something didn’t go your way, it probably was for the best. Bet on yourself and roll the dice again.

And what is it that either of you may need to know but don’t really want to hear?

Put the knives away. Say what you need to and stop breeding resentment.

So, if you can’t be in charge, you’re not motivated? Is one of you excited to get from under the thumb of the other one? A power struggle is taking its toll on the relationship. It’s time to take responsibility for your role in a situation and stop with the finger pointing. Perhaps one of you made a gaffe–you said the wrong thing at the wrong time. You thought it was clever–clearly it wasn’t. Now you don’t understand how the gamble you took was an unwarranted risk. That autocratic and overbearing attitude might be dampening the enthusiasm for this connection, breaking your partner’s heart, and burning both of you out. A situation has become unreliable and someone is starting to feel uncomfortable. Time to make some changes, even small ones, that can improve both attitude and environment.

And what is it that either of you may need to know but don’t really want to hear?

Keep it clean or eat dirt.

Does the ex have a hand out or does a current partnership require your time, money, energy, or emotion? Yes, yes, yes and yes. Is this what you signed up for? It’s not easy keeping the scales balanced, especially if trust has been violated in the past. Struggles could ensue over who’s got the power and how it’s being used. One of you could feel as if you’re not getting what you need, deserve, or want. Demands for more attention or help could get out of hand. At the crux of it may be poor choices related to money or irresponsibility that trigger the need for greater assistance. Faulty judgment by either of you may have created complications financially and/or emotionally. However, a determined approach to restore order in response to the situation can ruffle feathers and create friction between you. In fact, a connection that you thought was ideal may now be working on your last nerve. You’re starting to wonder what you’re getting out of this deal.

And what is it that either of you may need to know but don’t really want to hear?

Sh&%t just got real. It’s time for you to.
