Shooting it Straight – Water Signs/May 20-24

Here’s a heads-up on the challenge or obstacle you’re likely to face in your love relationship this week (problem) and what’s at the root of it (action). The advice is irreverent, a bit cheeky, unfiltered and admittedly brazen. The message is putting either you or your partner on notice. You know who you are! If you’re offended by the truth or strong language–stop here.

What are your working on–health, education, career? Where does your relationship fall on the list? You’re putting in a lot of effort toward something based on an opportunity that may hold promise yet also some measure of unpredictability. Perhaps you end up making empty promises in love because you’re resistant to putting aside obligations in favor of socializing. On the other hand, someone could be attaching a little too much intensity to some innocent flirting and blowing things out of proportion. Perhaps you’re on opposite ends of the spectrum with your partner. One of you wants fun and frivolity while the other is more seriously focused on the financial and responsibilities. With conflicting interests, one of you could feel unappreciated, resentful or jealous. You’re partner shouldn’t have to make an appointment to connect. It’s time to consider whether you can agree on if and how you want to build a more permanent future together.

And what is it that either of you may need to know but don’t really want to hear?

Have a conversation–emote when needed. Use the F-word–that’s right, fun.

Decision time. You’re weighing your options about the next move. Maybe you don’t have enough or maybe you have too much–opportunity, money, bills, partners, prospects, time. Perhaps you need a break from the endless loop. This is possibly due to the fact that you or your partner made a misstep and now would prefer to quietly sweep it under the rug and pretend it never happened. But if you still think you can avoid, deny or resurrect something dead, you’re fooling yourself. It’s time to regroup and find the right balance in a situation. Being unrealistic means having to keep juggling those balls in the air and that can get rather tiring. In fact, a break may be a welcome gift to your relationship. A time out can help to heal. Whatever the case, the answers lie within.

And what is it that either of you may need to know but don’t really want to hear?

You don’t have to put it all out there. Think about it.

Someone from your past may be excited, but are you? Maybe you don’t want to relive that Kodak moment. You don’t like how the picture turned out. It could have been an indiscretion or error in judgment tied to an old love affair or matter from the past. Your expectations have gone unfulfilled, possibly because someone backed out on a promise. You or your partner may now be unwilling to adapt to the current reality of a situation instead preferring to cling to old memories and outmoded beliefs or values–the way we were versus the way it is. You’re at an important crossroad for a new beginning. History can repeat itself so how you deal with the past is a factor in your future. Did someone get left behind for a reason?

And what is it that either of you may need to know but don’t really want to hear?

You’re the sh&$! Go for the future you deserve.
