“Meditation is not a means to an end. It is both the means and the end.” Jiddu Krishnamurti
After the excitement of yesterday, you may be pondering the next move. In some instances, this respite manifests through places of retreat–hospitals, convalescent homes, vacation resorts or places of confinement. You may be visiting a patient or visiting the doctor as a patient. For many, however, this card will simply mean a day of rest, withdrawal and seclusion that may take the form of sleep, prayer or quiet meditation. Life requires that you put stress and frustrations aside and connect with the source to find vital answers. As a result, there is very little movement, activity or engagement with others and it is best to accept this momentary pause in spite of any restlessness or desire to move forward. This time is best used for personal strategizing to solve a problem or restore balance to health or security.
Negatively, you may be confined against your will and dealing with unpleasant surroundings. You may be isolated or ostracized because of an indiscretion and feeling the pangs of loneliness because of it. Alternatively, you may feel bound due to an unwelcome guest in your midst that makes it difficult to relax or feel at ease. Perhaps you are stuck due to limited options and an inability to make a decision. Your response could be to recuse yourself from difficult situations only to find they grow more complex as a result of procrastination. In some cases, a summons to act gives you no time to relax.
