Daily Tarot: Four of Swords

“There is virtue in work and there is virtue in rest. Use both and overlook neither.” Alan Cohen

You may wish to push the snooze button today.  Perhaps you are recovering from an illness, meeting with a healer, or visiting someone who is sick. Alternatively, you may be enjoying a welcome break or spending time alone in quiet contemplation. Relief from stress may arrive because you have declared a truce or decide to retreat from a conflict. Whatever the case, there is very little active movement forward or much social engagement with others. This may be a necessary lull as it affords you the time to work on a strategy or prepare your next move in order to deal with a situation. In fact, some answers may arrive through seeking inner spiritual guidance.

However, a lack of progress can be due to your refusal or inability to make a decision. You may be waiting for an apology or explanation, or hesitant to offer one for a past indiscretion. Perhaps you still believe there is hope for a no-win situation or that you can revive a dead issue. As a result of denying the truth, a host of unsolved dilemmas hang in the balance while procrastination complicates your life. In some cases, you may choose not to communicate to avoid an unwelcome guest or because you find yourself in hostile environments that make you feel isolated, lonely or confined. You may need to reconsider your position if a pause becomes problematic.
