Daily Tarot: Four of Swords

“Saying nothing sometimes says the most.”  Emily Dickinson

In a world of non-stop opinionated intrusion, it has become a novel notion that perhaps some answers are only revealed through the silence of contemplation. The need for rest and withdrawal may be due to recovery from illness, spiritual meditation or a welcome vacation break. This may be a day when setting aside your frustrations or healing supersedes worldly concerns.  Whatever the reason for this short hiatus, things are currently at a standstill. Time apart, time alone or time to think gives you a chance to reevaluate your position. A respite gives you the opportunity to catch your breath and gather your thoughts.

On the other hand, you may be dealing with those who are unwelcome. If not, it may be you who is exiled, ostracized or confined. An apology or explanation for an indiscretion may be needed, yet not forthcoming in a relationship that has gotten off track. If this is the case, the silence may be deafening. Additionally, you may be stifled by the inability to make a decision. Your strategy of wishing a problem would go away or sticking your head in the sand is unlikely to work. In fact, this tactic will only incite more complications through your failure to deal with situations with expediency.
