Daily Tarot: Ten of Swords

“Getting over a painful experience is much like crossing monkey bars. You have to let go at some point in order to move forward.” C.S. Lewis

Endings make way for new beginnings, although it’s difficult to remember that when your face is in the dirt! A situation or relationship has come to an end or needs to, especially if you’ve been long-suffering. You may have experienced a serious illness or loss either personally or through someone you know, but the weight of a situation is almost more than you can bear. You’ve probably endured some emotional pain caused by a separation, betrayal, or your plans not working out as you had hoped. To a lesser degree, you’ve simply bottomed out from over-extending your energy or dealing with back pain. But now more than ever, it’s important that you shift your paradigm toward the positive. Consider that you’ve been given a second chance to become more resourceful at devising a plan of action that provides much-needed relief and also catapults you toward the success that thus far has eluded you.

True enough, you’ve had to eat dirt making it difficult, perhaps, to motivate yourself and redirect your ambitions. Don’t add to your woes by cutting your nose off to spite your face; before you light a fire to a bridge, think carefully about whether you’ll need to cross over it again to get to your destination. But if you’ve been stabbed in the back, by all means, burn that mother down!
