“Teamwork makes the dream work, but a vision becomes a nightmare when the leader has a big dream and a bad team.” John C. Maxwell
Precarious circumstances require your flexibility. You may be on top of the mountain, but do you have provisions? Today feels like a karmic obstacle course where you either rack up points or fall behind given the level of your persistence. Others request your guidance and make demands on your time in ways that make accomplishing even the smallest of tasks a challenge. However, a calculated risk could pay off if you’re skilled in the art of negotiation and persuasion. Developing a diplomatic strategy to get others to invest in your point of view is key, especially if you need them to be accountable.
On the other hand, fear of necessary confrontation, the future, or making decisions can cause you to miss out on opportunities, lose your nerve, or run away from a problem. It may also be difficult to please others if you find yourself in a less than supportive environment where gaining the upper hand is the sole goal. A “me versus them” mentality only serves to place you in the role of victim with little gain. Perhaps it’s time to give in a little, reconsider your position and change course.
