Daily Love & Life Advice – Your Guide to Navigating Relationships

The struggle is real, and so is the competition. You may be fighting to reestablish a relationship or revive some aspect of a connection, or the ego battles, power plays, and petty squabbles make it clear that it’s time to move on from an old situation.

Perhaps you’re attempting to reach a consensus by testing ideas that provoke conflict and disagreement. If not careful, what begins as playful sarcasm can quickly escalate to destructive criticism. The lack of cooperation or rejection of your input can create animosity within the group, especially if you’ve been fighting to be heard.

However, the issue on the table is probably just an excuse to rant and not actually reflective of the deeper issue that is the actual problem. Constant bickering is an indication of inner turmoil. In fact, until you make peace with yourself, you’ll be hard-pressed to find peace in your exchanges with others.

On the other hand, maybe you refuse to play the game or engage with the negativity, instead choosing to internalize your dissatisfaction because of fear of controversy or because you’re no longer invested. It may be that the goal of achievement becomes more important than crossing boundaries. If so, regardless of how reluctant, you may decide to take on more than what you consider to be your fair share in a situation. Still, if you’re in the right and not getting what you deserve, you may need to stand your ground and not give in.

Positively, collaboration through brainstorming, problem-solving, and team building means coming together with an aggressive effort for success. The win may depend on collaboration, and something you were ready to give up on could reach culmination specifically because it’s a group endeavor.
