Venus enters Aries—Again

Venus in Aries is considered to be in detriment. That’s because her principle of attraction is one of yin energy. However, with the self-motivated, self-interested energy of Aries, she embodies more masculine yang energy that she unabashedly uses to go after what she desires. You have to wonder, though, if that idea of detriment is not just a patriarchal view where women are expected to “be nice” and look pretty. In any case, this Venus wants the best for herself and, with a competitive nature, is determined to get it. So this could mark a time when you need to assert yourself, yet do it with all the charisma Venus has to offer.

Because of a relationship, concern for resources, a young woman in your life, or an artistic endeavor, a situation occurs surrounding your status that links to career, getting married, divorced, becoming a parent, or anything else that affects reputation and the way you’re viewed by the public. But behind events are blockages and delays that can be attributed to changes in the home and family. Challenges arise that center on issues of fairness, balance, or order with regard to partnerships, contracts, or decisions related to property, parents, the domestic situation, and the finalization of matters and ability to bring closure. These matters also influence the possibility of forming a new group, friendships, going into counseling, group projects, or situations where teamwork and cooperation are important. In some cases, the emphasis on values and career reward ties to successful, generous, or happy women, successful entrepreneurs, female civil servants, or officials.

With Venus and Neptune closely intertwined, the objective is to realize an inspiration that may be artistic and creative in nature highlighting artists, musicians, mystics, dreamers and visionaries that come before the public. Neptune is also a symbol for spiritual or charitable endeavors, and this may emphasize concern for social welfare motivated by a love of humanity and a desire to help others. In fact, this time frame signals that the social order will be confronted with change. As a result, the focus may be someone compassionate who seeks improvement, for those who need it, in the basic quality of life. 

On the other hand, Neptune’s inclination to turn matters upside down might suggest the radical or outspoken journalist and a link to secrets that provokes a shift. On a personal level, you’re likely to experience a restrictive influence that impacts communication. The difficulty is in combining both eloquence and intellectual capabilities that are handicapped by a language barrier, verbal skills, or just a different mindset or outlook. For some, the energy of Neptune will express as the traveler or explorer with the wish to travel somewhere foreign or as someone who finds joy in new experiences.

Certain goals during this time require the ability to conduct deep and thorough research, particularly by those who may devise and work with their own systems and their own methods. The discoveries may open the doors to new frontiers to science or new knowledge that’s revealed.

However, there is a warning about a dubious element where someone may be trying to achieve something by crooked means. This could be those in the public eye, behind the scenes, someone you’re dealing with, or certain shadowy character traits within yourself that motivate a lack of love for the truth or reality. Alternatively, you may be dealing with personalities that are hypersensitive, confused, without aim, or someone with insane or impractical ideas.

What happens during this cycle, sets the stage for a fated event that places scrutiny on either children, lovers, personal creative expression or the output from something you’ve created—like a business or something you’ve produced. You’ll find yourself drawn into circumstances that are complicated, twisted and complex, particularly in relation to abuses of power or fighting for rights in the face of exploitation. In your intimate relationships, you could be awakening from an emotional infatuation and experiencing awareness of disappointment, disillusionment or the wrong ways of love.

Whatever the nature of exchanges, these karmic situations are meant to help you learn total self-mastery while also respecting the rights of others. Consequently, social or business conventions are broken for better or worse; the inclination is to reject requirements (including that of proving competency and capability). Events will trigger the resentment of authorities, social or work related pressures and expectations, or professional demands that drive up the jealousy of a partner.

The backstory could be linked to problem areas with parents, but it might also be difficulties with home life in general, or matters connected to domestic real estate. Troubling parental archetypes may have contributed to inhibited development of your own individuality, and it’s these early issues with parents that could easily repeat in the relationship with the “boss” and in career problems. 

For some, it’s the pressure of wanting it all—attempting to create a peaceful and nurturing home environment while balancing career ambitions and responsibilities. For others, a certain restlessness surrounds either home life or career, making it difficult to determine where your roots are or where your loyalties lie.

Events during this period, can make you feel that much of what you have to cope with arises from love and relationship interests.  Situations highlight women engaged to be married, the bride, or those longing for love. If you’re dealing with worries in a problematic union, one of you may suddenly leave, or you experience ruptures and disruptions in the marriage characterized by unexpected outbursts and changes. One of you may act indifferent to the fate of your partnership; or you may be experimenting with “open marriage.” Perhaps you’re breaking marriage rules or roles or breaking the mold with an unusual marriage or at least one that must allow for a LOT of individual freedom—including the freedom to have outside friends and interests.

A strong underlying theme in relationship can be vanity or feeling unlovable, unloved, or unacceptable—possibly because of physical appearances or reactions. The perspective may reflect an unhealthy dependence on relationship and the belief that relationship enables you to handle everything else. In truth, the relationship is as much of a problem as that “everything else.”

There’s a karmic aspect playing through lessons about assisting others in terms of mutual financial arrangements. This might be in situations involving mourning, bereavement, separation or having to stand alone in life. As a result, you may be handling matters connected to the dead, dying or issues of healing. Alternatively, business practices are the focus of regeneration with the goal of reforming or recycling what’s obsolete. 

In some instances, the expectation is to provide concrete assistance to enhance the security of a partnership and help someone to achieve security and empowerment, or you’re working to gain the support of others. Perhaps you’re seeking freedom for yourself and/or others, or work in areas committed to the improvement of the quality of peoples lives. On the other hand, maybe you’re living with intention in a desire to demonstrate, through actions or example, that barriers can be broken. The influence suggests you’re thinking in different ways with the aim of increasing your self sufficiency with efforts at gaining freedom that might include study, experimentation, observation or fast action and bold insights that bring success. As you strive toward these objectives, you’ll encounter some form of jealousy in opposition to your freedom.

For others, the desire is to gain a wider perspective through the metaphysical, or to use a passion for teaching to introduce others to the occult or some form of knowledge. You may be considering collective values through meditation or by delving into religious or spiritual problems. The emphasis is on the value of people above material goods and to hold matters of soul and spirit as more important than money and power. A historian or priest could have a bearing on this outlook.

These situation are meant to inspire a personal rebirth through spiritual tests that demand you face your shadow self. If you fail to accomplish the goal, you might choose to bow to the base material desires of others resulting in a deep resentment within yourself that fuels conflict and emotional insecurity.

Generally, events will correspond to security—mental, physical or spiritual. It could be about getting the money, finding emotional security, or dealing with issues of self esteem. You’re currently fueled by an energy of endurance and the spirit of enterprise that grants a great capacity for work, stimulated by the willingness to gamble or take a risk. The motivation could be the urge to acquire possessions or to use your practical gifts and abilities. Problems develop through an identification with the material and too much love of self that manifests through displays of egoism, stubbornness, impulsiveness, vindictiveness or unbridled passion. Over-confidence, dangerous decisions and rash actions could provoke a crisis point with arguments or serious confrontations with a male individual, family member or sibling.

The effect on health can manifest as accidents, surgeries, inflammatory diseases, infections or heart problems. In some cases, the need is to look at where you play the role of the “nice person,” rather than doing what you want, or not being assertive in situations that ultimately create tension headaches, and other physical ailments. Those all-out attempts to avoid confrontation, the failure to assert yourself, or the fear of taking action means that the emotional pressure builds until emotions finally explode through totally inappropriate behavior. Rather than denial, a better approach is one of honesty to address illusion—you can’t avoid examining painful, sensitive issues.

On the other hand, it may be critical tendencies that prevent you from accepting people and situations as they are that keeps you from sharing, relating and cooperating with others to build relationships. It’s the need for validation through service or trying to do it all and do it perfectly that is likely to be rooted in the fear of failure or rejection. Consequently, you’re viewed as a servant, or as someone who’s always supplying services or always has the answers. Alternatively, you may be forcing other people into the role of servant. Either way, a balanced relationship is difficult to achieve and sustain.
