Daily Tarot: Six of Swords

“When I let go of what I am, I become what I might be. When I let go of what I have, I receive what I need.”  Tao Te Ching

Moving on, moving forward, moving away–whatever your circumstance, going with the flow of movement creates needed change. However, before you arrive at that final destination, you may feel as if you’re covering old ground with a situation where you’ve been going in circles. For some, this will play out as a literal journey. Perhaps you are taking an unexpected trip, going on holiday, or returning to a place from your past, especially over water or abroad. Alternatively, someone could make a welcome return to your life or you may be engaging with people from or at a distance.

Others will take a journey of the mind in order to gain a better understanding of self, circumstances and all parties involved. This may include leaving an abusive situation, severing ties, or putting a troubling situation behind you. In some cases, you may play the role of facilitator by helping someone in need. Events may not play out quite as you envision, but the end result is likely to be beneficial, though it will take time and patience. Positively, matters will allow you to chart a new course to move from point A to point B. This will require that you extricate yourself from anything that has limited your progress, including habits, people or situations that have repeatedly let you down in the past. Negatively, if you’re drifting out to sea without a GPS and allow others to navigate, you could find yourself in choppy waters having to start over from square one.
